Affiliate Programs - Different Types

There are hundreds of affiliate programs that marketers can use to make money on the internet, so you won't have any problem finding many to fit into your plans.

A FREE great resource to help you with learning is the SiteSell Affiliate Masters Course.

Different Ways to Make Money

  • Pay Per Click (PPC)
  • Pay Per Play
  • Pay Per Lead
  • Merchants Products (many times Pay Per Sale)
  • Merchants Services(many times Pay Per Sale)

Using a Network

There are many networks for you to join and then have hundreds of merchant programs to sign up with. Some of the big names are; Clickbank, Linkshare, Commission Junction and Shareasale, but these four are just a few of them.

Other Name Used

If you are new to this type of marketing, there are many companies that use another name for their programs: associate program. Amazon is a good example of this. You can easily join their team and add products to your existing line or place ads of their products on your website to earn commissions. Amazon has millions of products available, finding some to work into your website or blog can be very easy.

Don't Leave IT on the Table

If you are using any type of program are you leaving money on the table?

Many don't even realize the full potential of the internet. Here are a few tips to help you earn more money from your existing programs.

  • Create a newsletter and place sign up on each page - not in a pop-up as this may turn people off for signing up

When you do receive their e-mail actually send them ideas, suggestions and information. Just because a person has given you their e-mail address that does not mean they want all these different e-mails to buy this that or the other product.

This is a huge way that affiliates leave money on the table. You don't need to send bulk e-mails to people. It could even just be a link on your website or blog telling people about the opportunity to get into the same affiliate program.

  • Not joining programs with companies you already have bought products from
If you have a website and purchased a hosting package. From which web hosting company did you get it with? Are you happy with their service? Your uptime? Did the hosting company go out of their way to help you fix any problems that came up? Do yourself a favor and sign up. You don't need to go all out for the advertising of them, but a link here or there if you can work it into your content, or even a banner if placed properly can bring you sales.

With any type of product or service you brought on the internet, you may just want to create a page about your experiences with the company and use that as a selling point.
