Domain Parking (also called cash parking)

If have purchased any domain names and have not used them, they are not just floating around in cyberspace collecting space dust. Domain Reseller

You can sell domain names. It can be a very competitive business to get into since there are so many resellers already on the Internet. If you would decide to do this, make sure you do a lot of research on all the interworkings of this type of way to make money online. Enom.com has been awarded the #1 reseller register for six years running. I am not saying they are the best as I am not in this type of money making sector. But again, I say: Do your research.

Expired Domains

Many people have found this to be a very lucrative business. They have also wasted alot of money with it. If you purchase a domain name on January 1. On the next January 1st, you must renew that domain, if you don't do it, you will have a grace period of approximately 40 days to renew it, if you don't then it then goes into a redemption period, where the owner can renew it but will cost then an additional fee to reactivate it (can be another 30 days). Once the redemption period is over, it is then locked and all information is deleted. I have seeninformation that the deletion phrase is 5 - 7 days. Then the domain name will once again become available to the public BUT if anyone has put a backorder on the name that is to expire they get first crack at it. It may also be "sold" to the highest bidder if more than one person put a backorder on it.

The reason many people buy many of the expired domains is that some may have page rank, good traffic, incoming links, listed in dmoz directory and/or Yahoo directory.

If you want to try your hand at this, again, do your research. There are many people that have been buying expired names for years and they know all the ins and outs. Don't think you will be able to buy an expired domain with good traffic, page rank and all for a cheap price. If you look on the net and find the listing of the ones that will be expiring, don't forget you are not the only one seeing that list.

This whole process from after the expiration date to being deleted is 75 - 80 days (I was unable to get an exact time).
